𝚆𝙾𝚁𝙻𝙳 𝙴𝙽𝚅𝙸𝚁𝙾𝙽𝙼𝙴𝙽𝚃 𝙳𝙰𝚈 2024 ( 𝙽𝚂𝚂 𝙿𝚁𝙾𝙶𝚁𝙰𝙼𝙼𝙴)

World Environmental Day of Sabarigiri College of Education, Anchal was observed on 5 June 2024 at 2pm in general hall. The programme was conducted by the Department of Natural Science in association with NSS Unit. The programme was named as 'Ithal'. Ithal' which translates to 'petal' symbolises the delicate beauty and interconnectedness of nature.The theme of  World Environment Day is " land restoration, desertification and drought resilience".

The programme started with NSS song by college choir . Anchoring was the duty assigned to Alfiya N S , Welcome speech delivered by Nandana B. The programme was officially inaugurated by Dr.G.Roy Sir , Principal of Sabarigiri College of Education. Felicitation was delivered by Jaseena Miss, NSS Programme Officer. Silpa delivered the pledge related to environment day. Then Silpa said the History and Importance of the day. After that Chippy presented the Poster and explain it. Then Athira present a Video for promoting awareness about environment protection. Finally Divya gave the vote of thanks on behalf of organisation team. Then planted some medicinal plants in college campus like rosemary, turmeric,curry leaf,neem, alovera etc. A poster making competition was held in the general hall on the basis of the assembly group. At last, we place a pen box in front of Sabarigiri School Gate for collecting ended pens. The programme was ended by 3.30 pm.

On the next day in the assembly, NSS Programme officer Mrs.Jaseena Miss, 

announce the winner of poster making competition. 'Sanskriti group' won first in poster making competition. The principal gave the prize to the winning team.
