The community living camp is learning to live together, sharing duties and responsibilities. Developing personal and social skills. Practising democratic living and managing events. Practising division of labour, dignity of labour, community work. National Service Scheme (NSS) is a government-supported program that aims to develop the personality and character of students through community service. One of the key activities of the NSS is the annual NSS camp, which brings students participate in community development activities. On December 16, 2024, marked the commencement of our B.Ed second-year students' seven-day Community Living Camp starts from 16/12/2024 to 21/12/2024. Fifty-two students participated in this enriching experience. Proper planning and preparation are made for the success of the camp. As our B Ed college is the first college started NSS unit under kerala university. I reported to the college at 8:30 am, settled into my allotted room, and registered with Programme Officer Jaseena Ma'am.

The inauguration ceremony began with a soulful performance, envisioning a vibrant and welcoming campus environment. The day starts with soulful prayer by the college choir resonated deeply setting the tone for our journey. Our esteemed College Chairman and our principal Roy sir inaugurated the event, hoisting the flag. We named our camp 'Ividam.'

The morning session featured an engaging class by respected Brahmanayakam Mahadevan Sir, emphasizing positive life aspects and the significance of NSS. His interactive session left an indelible mark. I'm grateful for the memories created, recognizing growth through diverse experiences and connections forged through shared moments. This camp has imparted invaluable takeaways on cultural appreciation and community bonding.
